Another FOB Question

My main FOB died, the one I used for about 4 years now. I replaced the battery - does nothing. The spare works fine.

I searched and found the instructions to program FOBS - does anyone know if they have to be re-programmed once the battery is replaced or do you think the components just wore out? Don't want to mess with the programming and possibly sc@w up the good one if not needed...

The code is stored in the truck, so if the battery needs replacing the FOB should still be programed on the truck ( code does not change due to a dead battery ).

Same concept as a garage door openner, as far as I understand it.

If I got it wrong, Danny or Jeff should be along to correct me.

You absolutely do not have to reprogram the fob to the truck when replacing the battery. Sounds like your fob may have given up the ghost...
