Anyone have switches in thier overhead console?
I want to install some nice looking lighted switches in my overhead console (where the garage door opener would go) to operate my AUX lights.
I am having trouble finding a switch that looks good up thier and dosen't light up the cab when switched on.
Any suggestions/pictures would be greatly appreciated.

switches
I added lighted switches, 1 for driving lights, one for alternating headlamps and the third is for Strobes, later on.
Yes, I'm authorized as a member of Sheriff Joes Sheriffs Office in Maricopa County AZ. Anyhow, follow the photo link below to view the album for 2001 SCrew. I know theres a photo of the switches in there.

Well I planned on doing switches inside the console so that way you dont see the switches unless you have the little 'doors' open. I plan on doing some fiberglassing up there and using the switches for my amps and some lights.
I searched all over the place a while back for some factory-looking lighted switches and came up empty. You could probably find a switch in a truck (or car) that you like and order it from a dealership.
You make a good point there RP!
dcovell,
Another thing I noticed on my recent switch quest...Most of the time we need an on/off maintained-contact type switch for our accessories (except in the case of the window switch that RP mentioned). Most of the factory switches are momentary. That is they only maintain closure as long as you hold the switch.
Here's a link to some of the better looking switches I've found:

I should have a finished product to show soon, just have to take some pictures.
