just bought an f150 heritage with a moon roof....had it 2 days and the moon roof decides to open and close on it's own (with key on).....any ideas...I had to pull a relay to get it to stop....can't take it in till thursday..

 

Sounds like you've got a gremlin in your electrical system as well...

Again, my advice to the guys with troublesome radios... DON'T THROW WATER ON IT! If it is indeed a Gremlin, we don't want anymore sprouting out!

Seriously though... Can you replicate it or does it just 'happen'? I guess what I'm saying is are you doing anything specifically inside the cab electrically that would cause such a trigger to happen?

It could be something as simple as a faulty switch or wiring but, on the flip side, I suppose it could be an indication of a more serious electrical problem.... I'd lean towards a faulty switch though...

Just sitting in the truck (key on) reading the manual or driving it...If I get it closed .... in 10 sec to a minute it might raise up in the back or open a little at a time or all the way!...You can hear it trying to go farther than it can.....might be a limit switch or just a faulty select switch....Thanks for you interest
