Hey, y'all.

Just got a 2003 Red Lightning and am looking to install a security system. I've already done a good bit of research, and I have decided on Clifford for the system, but I'm looking for the best installer in Dallas (DFW Area).

I have spoken with CarToys; they have a lifetime warranty on their installation work, but I would like opinions and experiences.

Anyone out there have any news, good or bad, about this company? Do you have any other recommendations?

Curious why you chose Clifford over something from Viper, et. al.?
I have heard nothing but complaints about Clifford systems in the past. I have no first hand experience with them however.

Also, if you are even half-way handy with automotive wiring, you can install it yourself pretty easily. Most good systems come with excellent wiring diagrams, all you'll need to do is locate teh wires in your truck which shouldn't be hard given the resources here.

I've been using Clifford alarms in my vehicles since the early 90's and I've been pretty happy with the quality of there product as well as there features. If you live up in the HEB area stop by Autosound Bedford and ask for Eric. He's installed alarms and stereo's in a couple of my vehicles (my '95 GT Convertible as well as my '02 SuperCrew) and I'm about to have him install a Clifford with remote start and the window module pretty soon in the SuperCrew. I saw this article and wanted to respond. MadFish Customs in Carrollton provides security system installations, as well as, audio video, grilles, etc... They provide a three year warranty.

Just a referral.
