Question Battery on a "slow drain"

I have a '97 F-150 with a 4.6 liter engine. It seems that if I let the truck sit for over two days the battery drains down to nothing and has to be jumped to be started.

I know it isn't the battery it is only approximately three months old and I had it checked out to make sure that it was okay. No dead cells and the like.

I was by the guy that check the battery that there was quite a pull on the battery with nothing running in the truck.

I relayed this info to a friend and he said something about a coil pack (?) going bad and that will create the extra pull on the battery when everything is idle.

Does anyone have/had the same problem? Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Do you have an alarm?

How old is your battery? Over 2 years old?

The coil pack has no ignition source when off.

My 97 did the same thing, the light in the glove compartment was staying on.
