I'm thinking they are all plug in connections. The kit does appear to have a wiring harness with it. I will see when it arrives.

Recieved the Keyless system yesterday and it isn't plug in connections as I had originally thought they would be. All of the connections have to be cut and spliced in. I am not sure if I want to try to hook this thing up or not. Or maybe I will take it to someone and have them do it.

When I bought my 1998 F150 used in August I asked it if had keyless entry, and they could not find the key fob, but they made the agreement that if it did not have it, they would install it for me without me having to pay. We did not agree though that it would be a Ford keyless entry though, which was a mistake, I would have rather had that... and they decided that the Viper regular keyless entry (no alarm) would be cheaper so they would do that, which was $120 cost to the dealer. I am fine with it, it works fine, but would have rather had a Ford one, thats life though. My question though is, how much is the Ford Keyless entry kit if you buy it from the dealer and install it yourself? Just wondering, thanks for the help.

I bought this one off ebay for $80. I called the dealership to check the stock numbers before I bought it but didn't ask the price. I also inquired about the keyless entry when I bought my 99 f150 buy at the time they wanted $400+ to install the keyless so I never put it in. I was going to get an aftermarket on installed but never got around to it. Then I found this one on ebay. I'll call and see what they are getting for them at the dealership.
