Question Air Bag Light-3 flashes-2 flashes over and over

'94 F150 4x4, with 5.0, auto trans.
Any techs out there that can tell me what this flashing airbag light code means? 3 flashes pause, then 2 flashes, over and over. This does not happen every time I drive it. It has happened 2 times, about 3 weeks apart. I'm thinking because it doesn't happen all the time, maybe corroded sensors?, but would like to know just exactly what this code means. Help please!

To expand on that...

You may have a bad clockspring. The clockspring is the device that allows all of the neat functions on the stering wheel (airbag, horn, cruisecontrol) to have electrical connectivity and still rotate through 360 deg.

The following is from someone who done it.
Got the answer...
TECH: How to replace clock spring
I just replaced my clock spring last week and wanted to share what I learned.

1: Make sure your wheels are pointing straight ahead
2: Disconnect battery
3: Remove the four screws that hold on air bag from the backside of the steering wheel
4: Disconnect and remove the airbag
5: Disconnect the connections going to the horn and cruise control buttons
6: Remove the bolt that holds on the steering wheel and use a puller to get it off
7: Unscrew the tilt lever from the column
8: Remove the three screws that hold on the steering column cover and remove the lower portion
9: Remove the ignition switch by inserting your key and turning it to the on position and inserting the end of a paper clip in the access hole in the bottom of the switch housing to depress the pin that holds the switch in
10: Remove the top half off the steering column cover
11: Remove the lower dash panel that is directly below the steering column by removing the two screws on the lower side and gently pulling toward the drivers seat to release the pins that just snap in on the top side of the panel
12: Remove the clock spring assembly from the column and disconnect all connections
13: Put in new clock spring and reconnect then put everything back in reverse order

This whole job only took about an hour and is very simple. DO NOT BE AFRAID OF IT.

GOOD LUCK!

Thumbs up Flashing airbag light (32 code)

Thanks for the quick response" flafonman", appreciate it.Might sound like a dumb question but, with the battery disconnected no chance of airbag going off while working on the steering column, right? Would hate to have it go off after putting it back together, and reconnecting the battery. Is there any special precautions, or procedures besides disconnecting the battery that I should be aware of in regards to removing the airbag? If so , please advise.
Tanks for your help!!!!!!!!

you have no better chance of the bag going off with the battery hooked up than with it disconnected. I do 2 or 3 airbag replacements/diagnosis a week with batteries connected, and even vehicles running (if its real hot or cold in the shop). The chances of it going off are very slim at any time. The bag has to have a power source (12v typically) with enough amperage to fire the igniter. Ever played with Estes model rockets? Same basic idea. The positive side of the firing power is supplied by a G-force sensitive safing sensor in the diagnostic monitor, and the negative side is provided by any of the forward crash sensors. And they both have to be triggered at the same time. Also, a lot people dont realize that the system is always armed and ready for action, even when the key is off. But anyway, i know all the books say to disconnect the battery, so im not telling you NOT to do it, just that in the few hundered times ive played with them, ive never done it.
