"Theft" light..color?

I posted here a few weeks back about problems with my anti-theft system keeping my truck from starting. My dealer initially replaced the intrument cluster, but it didn't fix the problem. He's now replaced the PATS tranceiver..it seems to be working so far. One thing I've noticed though..after he changed the transceiver, the "theft" light turned red. It was yellow before and even after he changed the instrument cluster. I'm just curious..does this matter? I'd hate to find out that the yellow is a warning! Thanks, Sluggo (Chris)

My 2000 has a red light. I do not know about Ford but Hondas have lights that change color when there is a problem.

Ford used amber THEFT telltales on older vehicles ('98 Mustang comes to mind) but everything has since gone to red. I don't ever recall seeing anything but red in a truck.......

Always been red. Maybe the cluster color maybe a little off than the old one who knows.
