remote start tach wire help

Help,
Im trying to install a Ford OEM remote starter, silver series
I have a 2003 F150 supercrew.
the wire chart that came with it shows 2001 and 2002, I would think these would be the same for 2003.
It says to attach the tach wire from the unit to the tan wire at the #1 coil on the truck.
the only tan wire I see at #1 cylinder is on the fuel intector.
the coil pack right behind it has two wires coming out of it but neither are tan one is green and red the other is red and white.
am I looking in the wrong place?

Injector wires work just as well. Be careful not to cut the wire though when you connect to it. Make sure you insulate it well when you do. As for me, been doing this for about 14 years, I prefer the no tach mode. This just does not give the dealership any reason to question the alarm when somethings wrong and related to engine performance.
I am not saying it is not safe to use tach mode. I am just saying I prefer not to use it. I've used tach mode in the past with no problem for years. So, I hope you don't misunderstand my post.
