i just put in a crimestopper remote starter, everything went really easy. then came the moment of truth. i hit the start button and the truck quickly fired up. then came the problem, 5 seconds into the remote start the unit shuts the truck off then trys to start it again but the truck only turns over and never starts. if anyone could offer up a suggestion i would appreciate it. any thought would help.

Travis, got your e-mail. I forgot to add something. Was the "THEFT" light flashing through all this? If it was then you need to bypass your PATS system properly. You can use the DEI module 555F or 555U. The 555F can be programmed without having to buy a 3rd blank PATS key from the dealer. The 555U will require you to purchase a 3rd blank PATS key from the dealer. Both modules will require 2 original PATS keys that came with your truck to program. Next time you try and auto start it, look at your dash and see if the "THEFT" light is flashing, if it is then the cpu and the install are fine and you just need to bypass the PATS system properly.

I tryed everything you said in your email and it still dosnt work. the theft light dose go out during the remote start. so i guess i have a bad unit, i called the company and they are suposse to call me back (i hope)
