Alarm Problems

I've been having problems with my Alarm lately but now it's serious as the starter kill has stuck in the kill mode and I cant start the thing. The problem is, every time I bring my truck in to the dealer, they see it's a Code Alarm and instantly throw their hands up and scream "AfterMarket" and want to wash there hands of the problem.

I bought this System with the Truck (New)..The Dealer installed the thing..All the instruction manuals say Ford but nobody seems to know anything about it. I called the guys at powercallsirens.com who say the system has a lifetime warranty and Ford should be able to input the part number and figure it out.

I dont know where all this is going but I see a lot of problems on the horizon and snow is around the corner as my truck sits in the dealership and I got a FORD ESCORT !

Ideas ?

Have you tried a local car audio shop? They do installs on car alarms all the time.

Of course, I doubt it'll be covered under any type of warranty and any money spent will be out of your pocket. Best of luck!

If the alarm is a "Ford" CodeAlarm installed by the Ford dealer then it is covered under the standard 3/36k warranty for parts and labor.

Is this the same dealer that sold you the truck? If not, either take the truck back to them or have this dealer call them.
