What would you do??
Quick story, I took my truck to the dealer for a warranty problem. They had the truck for 4 and 1/2 days to replace a pass. side spindle bearing and a left front tie rod end. Don't get me started on that...
My issue now is this, I picked up the truck last night and the interior smells like axle grease. I took it for a test drive and was happy that the front end was not making any noise so I wasn't to worried about the smell, I can make that disappear. What really pissed me off was this, when I got home I saw a greasy finger print on the cab which looked like it was over a piece of dirt. When I went to wipe the print away I noticed that the "dirt" was a scratch in the paint!
I about lost it! I spent 17 hours reconditioning the paint only 2 weeks earlier and believe me I know every scratch that is on the truck. This one is new. To top it all off I just washed the truck today and noticed that the bottom of my drivers side door has a major gouge in it from where they opened the door into something. I am about ready to drive it through their front window.
I called them first thing this morning and let them know that I was pleased with the repair to the front end but that I had some new issues. All I got was "I am sorry that happened" and bring it back on Mon. so we can look at it.
What should I do? how should I handle this? I do not want them to touch the truck again as they have proven they are incompetent?

It doesn't hurt to see what they have to say but I wouldn't hold your breath that they will fix it. This just happened to my future mother in law last month. She dropped her car off at the Chevy dealership for an oil change, I think it is an 02 or 03 Cav, when she got it home she noticed that they had run into something with the front bumper and took a chunk out of the paint about as big as your fist. She is an older semi-retired lady that drives very little, I think it has around 30,000 original miles, and this car looks new. She is very fussy about her car. She has also taken it to the same dealership since she bought it new for every service. They told her that she had no proof that the damage happened as a result of being at their dealership. So after years of being a good customer basically F-off. She had the bumper repainted at her own cost and that dealership just lost a loyal customer for life. This is the back a**ed way some dealerships think. Good luck!
My daughter had the transmission go out on her Honda.
The transmission shop had it a week ($1,700) and when we went to pick it up I got an uneasy feeling because a couple of workers were standing in the office watching us check out.
They pulled the car up so we approached from the drivers side.
My daughter drove it out with me following and after a few blocks she pulls over. I'm thinking trans problem but, she said it drives fine, her mirror is gone. I look at the passenger door and it's just jagged plastic and wires hanging out.
We go back, I ask about the mirror, they feign innocense then say not to worry, they will order one and install.
They tried to get away with it.
She had been dealing with them alone, it's a good thing I was there when she picked it up.
All they needed to see was the expression on my face.
They chose to repair before I could utter the words 'stop payment'.

I would start with letting the dealer look at the truck and tell you what they want to do. They may come up with a solution that makes you happy.
I took my previous F150 to a car wash about 4 months after I bought it in 1998. I got it home to discover a dent in my roof. I took it right back and the owner of the CW told me his people did not do it. He refused to give me his real name or his insurance carrier.
I took his sorry a%# to 'Small Claims Court'. He ended up paying to fix the truck at a body shop of my choosing and a week worth of car rental. He did not pay willingly. It took 2 trips to court and the local Sheriff had to take the money out of his cash register.
My only regret is the Sheriff would not let me go with him to take the $ out of the register.
Good luck.

dont be a jerk about it, see what they can work out with you before you start raising hell.
This is coming from the dealership side of things. But eventually if you bitch enough you will get your way, just do "us" a favor and dont start that way

i would definitly go back their and have them fix it. i understand that you dont trust them now, but rest assured, that was in all probability just human error. talk to the service manager and explain youre plight(being polite) and request that you do not have that same person that screwed up working on it again...
