location of ECU in lightning??
By the passenger side kick panel. Same place as on any new F-150. Get on the ground up your truck and look up past the kick panel, and you will see an aluminum box. Follow your instructions on how to remove it.
Hi Kegger187,
As Beastie mentioned, in any 1997 & up F-150 platform vehicle the PCM is mounted just above the passenger's kick panel, you don't even need to pull that panel, just look right above it. There you will find the aluminum box that is the PCM. You will need instructions for properly disconnecting and removing it from the vehicle, as well as docs on removing the PCM covers and cleaning the connector before you can mount the chip, etc., and all of that is too much to go over here.
If by some chance you don't have any docs, take a look at the Tech Article here on the installation of the Superchip, it's a link over to FTW where one of our customers did an article with photos on installing the Superchip on his F-150, and it's the same for your 2002 Lightning as well.
Good luck!
