Question for MIke
Hi Mike,
Its been at least six months since I installed your Superchip's flip chip in my 2001 HD F-150 with an ATI S/C. My chip has the soft shift option since I have Factory Tech's valve body in my tranny. I've had some ramdon slipping when shifting hard from 1-2. I consulted F.T., and he ask:............ do you have torque reduction removed from your program?
Is this something to consider?
Thanks,
Buck150

Hi Brad,
Briefly, that has nothing to do with your problems, the very large power gain from that supercharger is the *real* problem here, as these transmissions are not made to stand up to that kind of power level and abuse in such a heavy vehicle, not by a long shot, and that isn't changed by using his valve body, you still have weak clutches & bands, etc. And so increased transmission failure events are relatively common in heavy F-150's with a supercharger added, and they usually start with the kind of slippage you are getting, which has absolutely nothing to do with what's in your program, by the way.
If you'd like to give us a call I'll be happy to go over this with you in proper detail.
