ATI superchip reburn

I posted this on the blower section but maybe more appropriate here. If I have a superchip that is burned for a Powerdyne 9psi pulley and change my blower to an ATI Procharger which is also rated 8-9psi, would the chip work or does it require reburn AGAIN.

Hi 01screw,

Glad you called today so we could go over this with you, it was nice talking with you.

I think you'll find you'll be just fine with your existing Powerdyne unit once you get it repaired, & please let us know what happens on that in the future!

For others who may read this post, the basic answer to the original question is YES, changing from a Powerdyne to an ATI blower you will definitely need to be retuned, they have different characteristics & results, especially in the A/F ratios, etc.

Good luck!

Sorry to hijak the thread but since we are on the subject of blowers, Mike, do you have a nice tune done for the following config?

currently.....
2002 F150 screw
5.4L
auto trans with level 10 shift kit
bassani cat back exhaust
9PSI ATI

adding.......
BBK 75mm throttle body
ATI procharger running 12PSI
#42 injectors
90mm MAF (lightning)

I currently have a superchip flip chip with summer/winter code (I live in MN) but will need it reburned for the above changes. Whats your turnaround?

Hi Zyg,

You've been working with another tuner obviously, since you already have a Superchip tuned for your current configuration, so it sounds like you just want a faster turnaround time than what your present tuner can provide for your proposed changes. We can provide a fairly rapid turnaround time, and yes, we can provide tuning for any OBD-II F-150 with any supercharger added in just about any mechanical configuration, but before we quote any specifics we'll need to go over some details with you, of course.

Please give us a call at our number listed below & we can go over all the specifics with you, let you know exactly what we recommend and what we can do for you, then you can decide if that works for you or if you want your present tuner to take care of this for you, etc.

Yes, I did have the chip previously tuned, but they are telling me 3-5 weeks turnaround and I simply dont think that is feasable, especially since I have been hearing from some who are going on 4 months for some products and I dont want to walk into that.

I realize that ideally a day on the dyno with a tuner is needed for optimal performance but I cant seem to locate one in my area. Im also running a screw 4x4 so im not really looking to set any records at the track but for me a big truck should also be powerfull and not just look and sound powerfull .

Anyways its my understanding I need the chip to even run with 90mm MAF and #42's and as of right now I have the parts but cant put them to use and the snow iwll be flying here in no time.

Im hoping tweecer or even superchip will come out with an EEC tuner capable of everything a chip is for the do it yourselfer in the next 6 months or so. I will try and give you a call monday if I can get some free time at work.

Hi Zyg,

Understood fully, & you're probably right with that entity given their track record, I understand.

Best of luck whatever you decide on this!
