Well here we go again:
i will no doubt get a chip, but I wanna know this first:
i will also be getting smaller wheels/tires, do I need my chip programmed to compensate for the smaller wheels.
Also I know now that my speedometer will be off, will my tach also be off?
Members recommend me to get my engine re-program from the dealer, but can't I just get my chip to recognize my new tire diameter???

Yes, we can take care of that in the Superchip for you. We can correct for gear ratio changes and/or tire size changes, and that will have to be done in the Superchip for your speedometer, odometer & shift points in the autoamtics to be right.
Ford dealership service departments can only change your *factory* program, which you're only running on when you do *not* have a chip installed, so when you plug in the Superchip you're not running on the factory program anymore. However, much more importantly, dealers can only change the factory program for different size tires that were offered on that truck by the factory. Dealers cannot alter the factory program to recalibrate the speedometer for tire sizes or gear ratios that were not offered by Ford on that vehicle.
Your tachometer will not be thrown off (that is, it won't be any more off than it is normally) by changing tire sizes, the tach will still register the engine rpms correctly. Because the speedometer will be off, your rpms won't match the speeds like it did before, that's the only thing. No big deal, it still reports the actual rpms the engine is turning, so the tach is not affected by tire size or gear ratio changes.
The bottom line is, we can take care of that in the Superchip for you, just give us a call when you want to do that.

You know if you decide not to get the chip programmed for the smaller tires/wheels, not only will you think you're going faster but, it will make your island seem bigger.

He can't use the Micro Tuner because he has a 4.2 V-6 F-150, and the Micro Tuners are for the V8 F-150's only, so he'd need to use the traditional Superchip module in his case. It was very nice of you to make that suggestion though, and if he had the V8 that would be a great solution.
