Chip and tire size

I have a chip in my 02 F150 4x4, I am going to be putting a suspension lift and 315/75/16 (35's) tires and 4.56 gears, do I need to have my chip reburned because of this? thanks.

Hi FootBall,

Yes, you do need to have your chip reprogrammed to correct for both the change in tire size and the change in gear ratio.

If you are using the Superchip, give us a call & we can easily take care of this for you.

Glad to see you're going 4.56 on the gears with the 35's, far too many try to shortcut this by not changing gears, and that just ruins the vehicle's performance of course.

Good luck with the lift, gears & tires project, & give us a shout if we can be of assistance!
