Stop asking what chip is better... Just do it!
I know many of you are hesitant to get a chip and continue to ask the same question over and over again.
"What chip is better?"
Well your going to get about 1 answer here and thats the SuperChip.
Why, because thats what everone here uses. I have a superchip in my truck 2001 SCREW 5.4 and absolutly love it. Better shifting and a noticabley more power.
The reason for this post, evertime I visit this forum, all I see is the question, what is the better chip?
So the bottom line is, if you have a few hundred bucks and are willing to spend extra money for the high octane gas, then get a chip, it takes less than 45 minutes to install and causes absolutly no problems, if you don't like it take it out.
Oh and I use the chip, I don't sell it, I don't have any affiliation with it and only talk from experiance.
It's very simple it changes a few computer settings and allows for the higher ocatane gas that has more energy in it. So it's not a miracle or anything like that. Its just plain basic science.

ALSO, Mike you should talk to the webmaster and see if you can put up a sticky post (top of this forum) explaining what a computer chip is in layman terms for everyone, just though that would be an easy quick educational snipit for everyone...

I would have asked the stupid question of what chip is best and really appreciate it that you posted this. I've read enough of them now to realize to call them and do the deal on the phone.

While we'd love to have everyone realize that the Superchip is the best without having to ask, I think the reality is that this is simply an undeniable question that some people will always need to ask, especially those who are inexperienced, newbies, etc., it just comes with the territory. And that being the case, the Superchip has to re-earn it's reputation every single day, every step of the way. Luckily, it's a product that is actually good enough to do just that, as it always has.
In fact, that is exactly why we are here in the first place, to be here every day to answer those things, with our necks stuck out on the chopping block, so to speak. And we can see in the 4 years we've been here (and the many years on CIS before that)that the Superchip has done just that, earned it's praise every step of the way.
There are many people here who have used other chips and then the Superchip on the same vehicle, and so have had the chance to do a comparison of both products on the same vehicle to prove to themselves that the Superchip does the best job.
We represent the Superchips product line because, after testing literally everything else on the market, after comparing engineering staffs, core competency, etc., there is nobody else in this industry that can do what Superchips does, that has the experience they do. If that were not the case, then we would not be selling the Superchip, we'd be handling somebody else's product. But because Superchips day in day out, year in and year out is the very best in this industry of their invention, *that* is why we represent them.
The bottom line of why you hear so much about the Superchip and why most people here use them is just that, simply because they are the best.
The comparisons will always be made, the question will always be asked, and it will always have to be answered. Thanks to the excellent search feature of ths message board, it's easy to have people go take a look at appropriate posts to cut to the chase a bit.
We are in fact working on something that can be used just as you mention, it is being built into our web site and then will most likely be linked to here, we're doing FAQ's, etc.
