Fuel-ly Confused
I intend to get a Superchip in the near future, but I am worried about the gas I should put in. As shown in my sig. I have a supercharged HD truck and I am already burning 91 chevron (is that bad?).
I was hoping if Mike could give us a rating from best to worst on the gas station to buy at. I was also hoping I could find out where in the Northern Calif. area can I find 92 octane or better (although, I admit I haven't been looking very hard).

Hi 4WL HOGG,
Actually, just about anywhere in California you'll be hard pressed to get a better pump premium than Chevron, so just stay with what you've got.
Amoco & Texaco are also generally good, but Chevron seems to be doing a better job out there, so that would be my "default" fuel to use where you are.
I don't know about a real list, but in general, stick to the brands above, and avoid the brands below, & you shold be in pretty good shape:
Avoid all off-brands, no-names, and Exxon, they're lower energy fuels that will not provide the performance or mileage you can get with the better fuels.
