Marc C. & Mike T.
Marc and Mike,
Marc, thanks for suggesting I call Mike. And Mike, thanks for all the great Info. I'm looking forward to the arrival of my new superchip microtuner. I'll definately keep y'all posted as to how it works. Where do I go from here? So I'll have the microtuner, got the 3" Gibson Cat-back, K&N FIPK, BBK 75mm TB.
I'm new to F150 Online, and see folks listing mods of mind boggling proportions, but am not really sure where to start as far as getting most bang for the ever limited buck. Am I even on the right track so far?

Your welcome Greenscrew..I only pass along what I know to be true. Good luck with the mods, and the next time you are near the coast at sunset, take a real long look, and a deep breath and send it my way. Damn I miss that place.

Hi greenscrew,
Ahh, so then we've actually had a chance to talk to the phone, great! It's hard to tell who is who by their screen names here, so we rarely know who we have and have not spoken to just by their screen name here.
Since we have already spoken, I don't know if the other post I think I made to you a little earlier today in a different thread is even applicable or appropriate, so if it seems out of place when you read it, just ignore it, as we've already talked by now.
OK, in terms of best bang for the buck, with the Superchips Micro Tuner, your intake kit and your exhaust, those are all good mods & you're on the right track there, as powertrain programming, intake & exhaust are generally the Top 3 best bang for the buck mods. The 75mm BBK throttle body is something we generally do a bit later in terms of the actual bang for the buck value, but since you have it I wouldn't take it off, it's a very good quality part and one that will help more and more as you continue to do more modifications.
From there, it's on to things like our electric fan kit (maybe underdrive pulleys depending on your configuration) & headers. Headers will also require custom engine tuning.
Then at about that point we'll need to take a look at the fuel delivery system, as the stock fuel pump and the fuel injectors will support only about 310-315 hp or so in the '99 & newer F-150's. All 1997 & up F-150's (except Lightning engines) have 19# injectors regardless of engine, and the newer trucks have a 125 l/hr. fuel pump, so both the fuel pump and the injectors cannot be counted on for more than about 310 to maybe 315 hp. In the 1997 & 1998 models, most of which only have 85 l/hr. fuel pumps, those fuel pumps can only support about 275 hp or so.
So to go beyond the 310-315 hp mark, you'll need to upgrade the in-tank fuel pump (cheap & not hard to do) and also install larger fuel injectors. The larger fuel injectors will also require custom engine tuning.
These are just some very broad strokes, to plan this out properly we'll need to do a carefully detailed consultation by phone so everything gets planned out & done at the right time and in the most cost-effective manner, etc.
Thanks for calling, & we hope you enjoy the new F-150 Micro Tuner!
