Superchip and ECU Reburn
I brought my truck to the dealer for a rough idle issue...the tech said that it appears to be a motor mount issue and a low rpm idle problem. He is going to replace the motor mounts and also mentioned that they may re-program the ECU to make the engine idle at a higher RPM. If he does do that, when I put my chip back in, wil it override that setting?

Hi XLT,
If they reprogram that computer, the Superchip will not work anymore, as they will have changed the software revision in that processor, and the code will no longer match the Superchip, so it won't start with the Superchip installed.
Just make sure that if they have to do that, that they place the "Notice of Modification" sticker under the hood (it will say Ford Authorized Modification) and write in the new calibration code. We will need that information to be able to reprogram your Superchip to match the new code, so you can continue to use it.
Give us a call if you have any questions on this!
