Mike T. Question on resetting superchip....
Hello Mike,
I received my Gibson Supertruck catback this afternoon. I just had to throw it on tonight.
I did loose some low end torque as you had told me....but it does not seem to be much....what was the low end torque loss you had told me to expect on this mod.
I do love the sound, it's just right for me...not to loud but nice throaty sound.
I had put the under drive pulley kit you sold me on it yesterday.
I went ahead and reset my computer with the 5 minute process.
I figured it couldn't hurt but is it recommended to do this?
One more question....I ordered the electric fan kit from you a couple days ago and I don't remember if I ask you how far out on delivery you folks are on those.
Thanks Mike...You've been a great help,
Rocks......(Ron from Plano, Tx, to help you look it up)

Hi Ron,
Clearing the ECU after doing a modification is most important when installed or removing the Superchip, in other words, when changing the powertrain program.
You can also do it for an exhaust change, or a new intake, etc. if you like, and some people will *always* clear the ECU anytime they install any modification or make any kind of change, just because they want the ECU to go back thru the relearn cycle and start the adaptive strategy adjustments from scratch again. I generally don't do that myself these days, I used to, but not anymore, it just doesn't make a practical difference except when changing the powertrain programming. So that is strictly up to you, you can do that if you want, or you can not bother, as you see fit.
The electric fan kits are shipping now, so yours is already on it's way! Now as part of that installation, you will be removing the battery from the vehicle for a little while to gain access to another component, so you will be clearing your ECU for that one "automatically."
Have a great weekend & talk to you soon!
