superchips programing
Hi,
old to the forum, new to this section.
I'm lookin into getting a chp and have had a ton of high recomendations for Mike Troyer. You seem to be a very knowledgable person. I'll have a few mods arriving within about two weeks and was wondering if you do custom tuning for them. I'm looking specifically for a chip that will not blow my engine, so definately nothing too risky at all. I've heard about data logging, wouldn't know how to get my hands on one though.
So basically my mods will be 2600 stall torque converter, factory tech valve body, 4#pulley, oil breather cap, 12' cone filter, bassani cat bak, desno it20's. For now the truck seems to run a little rich which i hear can be safe,,,, the tips are routinely black on the inside as all I have for now is the 12' filter and cat bak and valve body with no aftermarket chip installed yet.
I'm looking for how to go about finding a chip on the safe side that will be properly programmed for my mods.
Also I have 20 inch rims with 295/45/20 tires if that makes a difference for the gearing.
Thanks for any time or info you can give.

Sorry about the goofy post...Hello still works but I wanted to give you some info. I hit post by accident.
With that many mods, your best bet is to call Mike at performance and they will set you up over the phone.
Click on any post by super_chips and you'll find the phone number.
Good Luck,
Rocks

Hi whitetoast,
You should call us before ordering anything else, as we need to go over with you in careful detail just exactly what mods to do in what order and when, as well as what needs to be tuned specifically for, how the vehicle is being used, location, altitude & fuel quality. That cannot be done in email or online of course, we need to talk over the phone and do a thorough consultation to do this right. Don't take any chances with that expensive supercharged beast!
Just so you'll know, we can not only handle any custom tuning needs, we also carry all of those parts and many, many more for the Lightning as well as every other F-series platform vehicle from all of the various F-150's (which includes Lightnings, '02 supercharged HD's. F-250 light duties, Expeditions, etc.) to the larger Super Duty trucks with PSD & V10 engines as well. So we can make you a very nice package deal that includes everything you want to do, or we can do things 1 at a time if you prefer, whatever works best for your situation.
The fact that you have black soot in your exhaust pipes means virtually nothing in terms of your A/F ratio, as *all* these trucks accumulate black soot in the pipes, whether it's a Lightning or a 4.6 SuperCrew, etc., and whether it's running 10:1 or 12.6:1 A/F @ WOT. This is different from what some of us grew up with, including myself, conventional wisdom back then was any black soot in the tailpipe meant you were running overly-rich, but not anymore, you cannot make any such assumptions with these vehicles.
Just give us a call & we can go over all of this with you thoroughly & properly.
