Question Instulation instructions Please

Could anyone email me with instulation instructions for a superchip flip? My computer is under the passenger side dash. I heard you had to clean the contacts first. What do use to clean them with. Do I clean the comuters contacts or the chips? How do you get at the computer? I really don't want screw this up. Thanks.........Scott

Well I bite the bullet and did it myself and guess what it works. I have it on 87 octane until I use up all of it then fill up with 93. I hope its as good as people say it is. Scott

Hi Scott,

I hope you got proper documentation, as if you didn't, you could easily have problems later on, even though it's working OK now.

Cleaning that connector takes some careful work to do properly, the ECU has to be removed from the vehicle and *both* the top and the bottom covers must be removed to allow proper access for cleaning that connector. It's easy to get just enough of that coating off to allow the vehicel to start and run normally for anywhere from a day to a year or longer, but still have a problem later on.

If you have any problems, give us a call Scott, & good luck!

Tingle, nice to have a F150 Onliner close by. I didn't have that much of a problem except for unsdrewing the that one screw behind the battery. I was about to take it out but I finally got the thing lose. May be I will see around. I'm driving a 2001 Supercrew King Ranch (Chestnut). Thanks.....Scott
