Question Independant comparison

I'm a new member that would like to find an independent comparison between all of the major aftermarket chip manufacturers. I like all of the info I've read on the superchips but it seems as tho the other makers have been left out of the picture. Does anyone have any experience with the Diablo's or Jet? Any one know of a website that will give a fair comparison?

i know the majority of people here run a superchip and maybe are a little biased. but you can search and read up on other brands through these threads. you should find all kinds of info. superchip is always the winner in the debates though. personally i would pick superchips just because of Mike T. he goes by superchips_distributor. he is full of usefull info and is always willing to help no matter what your problem is. Not to mention many other things. but customer service is enough to sell me, but you go ahead and judge for yourself. good luck.

Hi barry52,

Welcome to F-150 Online!

You couldn't ask for a better website to give you more information than what you can get right here in this very section. It's also a mistake to assume bias, especially around here. Everyone is very candid, you don't have to worry about that!

You'll have to invest some time in doing your research just as everyone else has before you, plan on spending some time here reading the threads and what the people who are actually using the products have to say about them.

It's not a matter of other chipmakers not being represented, or that somehow there isn't unbiased info available here, few things could be further from the truth. You need to spend some time here, getting to know how the people who use these products feel and becoming familiar with all the information that is here. You will see that there have been plenty of comparisons.

There are very obvious reasons why the Superchip is so popular here, the most important of which is that it simply does the best job of optimizing the powertrain programming and improving performance & driveability. They invented the business, and they're the only chipmaker hired directly by the automakers themselves, giving them obvious advantages in knowledge & experience.

It's very simple..............We couldn't care less what the name is on the outside, all we care about are the results from the product *inside*. If someone else had superior programming/tuning skills to Superchips, we'd be selling their products instead. We're not owned by Superchips by the way (some people assume that because of the screen name we use here), we are Performance Products Inc., and we specialize in improving the performance of these F-150 platform vehicles. So all we care about is what works the best, not what brand, etc., though we do make many brand-specific recommendations, as we identify which parts are doing the best job in each respective area of modification/purpose.

If you spend some time here (and please don't forget to make good use of the search feature, as that can save you a *ton* of time!), you'll find a wealth of information.

Good luck in your search, & we hope you'll hang out here with us in your spare time!

Talking Thanx all!

Thanx for the advice to search for the comparisons...I wasn't sure weather to go with the Jet or the Superchip, The Jet is available at my local shop, and they are more than happy to sell it to me but I think I'll go ahead and order a Superchip.
Once again thanks alot for your help I'm not too knowlegable about how to get the best performance but these boards are sure giving me a crash course.

Take it from everyone here the Superchip is the only way to go when it comes to aftermarket chips for our trucks.

i'll be short and to the point from my experience.
first chip was a Jet... J = JUNK!
second chip...Kenne Bell that came with my supercharger kit = ok..but way too conservative for me.
current chip with current mods is a JDM flipchip from superchip. Side one is aggressive street program...side 2 for nitrous! the name speaks for itself...it's a SUPER chip!
after initial breakin...many key cycles and 300 or so miles... my truck runs...according to Shawn(...one of JDM Engineering mechanic/tech...)
Bad to the Bone runs like "a raped ape"!!
Sam from Level 10 performance transmission..calls Bad to the Bone...The Beast From the East.

I used to have a truck...seems like I have a savage animal now!
