I hae a 97 f150 w/4.6 and am interested in a chip. I was told that you are the man to help me. I'm looking for optimum perf. So far i have true duls w/flows. My question is concernin the flip chips i've heard guys talking about. do I understand this correctly? these chips are multi progrmmed and can be used for multiple purposes, if so, sounds like what i'm looking for. Future mods consist of airaid intake, headers, and possibly gears. can you provide me w/a chip that would work well w/this config. If so wht kind of gain should i expect? Thanks in advance for any help/advice you have to offer.

Hi Hotrodder,

Sure, we can easily make a Superhcip set up for those specific modifications to get you maximum power gains. On a truck that has a fresh healthy 4.6 with an open intake and exhaust as well as headers, we can usually pick up an easy 25+ horsepower and perhaps a bit more.

What I would suggest is to give us a quick call when you get a chance, so we can go over this with you properly in detail. We can even call you back so it's on our dime.

You're on the right basic track with your thoughts on what modifications to do. You might want to think about the brand of intake, however, if you havent' done that just yet. The Airaid works OK, don't get me wrong, it will deliver about a nice gain of about 12 hp on your 4.6 F-150 and is of decent quality. The Air Force One intake kit will get you a larger 15 HP gain on that 4.6 F-150, and is made of the highest quality materials, aircraft grade T-304 stainless steel that is mirror-polished by hand. If you're happy with the Airaid, or yo have a killer deal worked out, go right ahead. If you aren't committed yet and want the best kit with the largest power gains, you'll want to consider the Air Force One. We also do combo deals if someone wants to do the Superchip or the Flip Chip and an intake at the same time, etc. Just FYI..........

Yes, you understand correclty about the Flip Chip, that is our 2-program Superchip Flip Chip, to be precise, and it is a 2-program type of chip with an external toggle switch to select which program you're running on. We can do a number of different combinations in the Flip Chip, like dual octane setups, or a drag race type of program on one side for those who really want to push it to the max, etc. We'll tailor it for exactly how you're using your vehicle, it's modifications and what you want.
