Tranny probs at over 100?

i have a superchip on my truck and when i start going over a hundred my truck shakes alot and then the faster i go the less it will shake (around 105 to 110). whats the deal...i was going like 105 the other day and the rear main seal completely came off. why is this? i talked to one of my friends and they said that there friend's has come off at about 105 or 110 4 times already? Whats the deal is it causing so much pressure? is the vibration doing it? is the seals from ford just weak? any input would be appreciated.

There's been a service message Article 01-9-3 posted here before by members with similar problems. The upgrade was a new extension housing and larger 5" driveshaft.

Hi WIlliam,

Actually, Max gave you that information already.

He gave you the TSB service message number in his response, which was Article# 01-9-3. Remove your Superchip (even if you are beyond warranty) and take your vehicle into your dealership and tell them that you are having vibration, and tell them the Article number that deals with it to have them check this out for you.

Also, in general, anyone who intends to own a vehicle long enough for the warranty to expire should have the CD-ROM that contains all of the TSB's & recalls, etc. for your vehicle, the one from alldata.com - it doesn't cost much, and it lists not only each and every service message & TSB for your vehicle, but also gives you the complete text & terms of each of them as well. That gives you all the information about the various free, reduced cost & customer pay factory service fixes, etc. that you need to know about your vehicle.

Good luck!

LoCo F150-

The parts come from Ford. The TSB lists the part numbers for the extension housing, gasket, and driveshaft (which is different based on wheelbase, engine, etc.)
