Talking This is a good thing!

So I contemplated for 3 years on purchase of a Superchip, last Saturday I ordered (through Online Ordering System), package was on my doorstep Wednseday, I didn't see it - had to hear from my wife that I had a UPS package, read all instructions 2X, got to work and pulled computer. It was getting late, so after work on Thursday, I continued.... cleaned contacts, installed chip, hooked up battery, turned key, crank, crank, crank. Bummer! Getting late, went to bed and after work on Friday pulled computer out again, recleaned contacts, reinstalled, hooked up battery, turned key, and lit it off!! This is good I'm saying. Pulled out of garage and went for a 15 mile test. I was semi skeptical about the performance gains as the 6.8 liter coupled with 4.3 gears is no slouch to begin with, so I'm thinking how much better can this chip be? I've also got a shift improver kit before the chip, so shifts were already rock solid. So anyway, after my first WOT pass, I'm all smiles! This thing really rocks. My rev limiter used to shift me at ~4900 RPM, now its close to 5500. And the shifts are even better - did I say, the shifts are even BETTER! Absolutely no timing lags after initial shifts - things are good. Sorry for the long post but I just wasn't prepared for this type of performance increase! Totally sold! I also want to thank everyone for selling me on the Superchip and also to Mike Troyer for his wealth of knowledge on the subject as without this I wouldn't have made this purchase!

Mine was delivered here Wed too. I`ve got the same reaction as you but with a different truck. Its just like they said it would be. Took the wife out today in it after dropping my daughter off at jumping lessons(horse) and on the country roads I could open her up. Its a major improvement over stock and even the wife noticed it felt better and said so I guess I got the approval sign from her there

Hi F250NUT,

Thanks for your post.

Those V-10's really do respond nicely, even with the kinds of modifications you had already made as you pointed out, between the power gains and the fixes to the automatic transmission's shift characteristics, pulling the various delays & retards, etc., it sure does make the vehicle noticeably more responsive & powerful.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on your results, everyone!
