Couple of questions concerning the chip I have
Just wondering if my truck (2001 5.4L Screw) will pass the ODB emissions testing that will shortly be required here in Texas. I am running the super chip(Thanks Mike)
Another question, if I go to have my truck serviced and need to remove the chip, can I just undo the battery and just pull the chip out without undoing the computer harness. Naturally I would be looking to re-install the chip the same way. Is this possible or will the harness need to be completely disconected ? Thanks in advance for your help.

When removing the Superchip, yes, if you are careful, you can do that without removing the computer from the vehicle, and many people do just that. You do not want to move the back of the computer around very much, as it is still connected to the wiring harness on the front. Since you should tape the Superchip in place for reliable operations if you hit something, etc., you need to be able to have good access to the back of the ECU and both sides at the back of the ECU to do that. You can just remove the black pressure clip that holds the ECU against it's mounting bracket/plate, and then you can have access to the other side of it. Again, do not try to move the back of the computer very much, just an inch or two, so if you are careful, yes, you can easily do this.
