Does a chip void your warranty????
Is it okay to have Ford service your truck with it installed??
I would love to install one but im nervous about this issue.

This comes up here often. Doing a search (by clicking the "search" icon at the top of this page) should give you some of the information you are looking for.
I don't think that the answer to this question is cut and dry. The bottom line is there are laws that, in so many words, state that a chip dose not void a vehicle warranty.
I was like you when I was first considering a chip. I would not run my truck with out one now. In fact I would like to do more mods. It's important that we know our rights. Become informed.

Hi Jeff,
If you will go back to the first thread where you asked those same questions, you will see I have provided a detailed answer there for you, to include a quote from Bill Lane, Ford's SVT Powertrain Systems Supervisor.
In short, no aftermarket part causes your warranty to be voided unless it actually *damages* the vehicle. In that case, only that warranty *claim* would be denied, and this still requires that the automaker be able to prove the aftermarket part was the sole cause of a failure, and further prove that had the aftermarket part not been installed, the failure would never have happened otherwise. That is very strong legal protection, and gives all of us the right to do anything we want to our vehicles, as long as we don't *damage* them.
