Superchip for 2002 F-250 SuperDuty 4x4???
Mike,
Does Superchips make chips for 2002 Ford F-250 SuperDuty 4x4 Trucks? I have the 5.4L V8 and would like to get a chip for mine.
Also, does the chip make the transmission shift firmer? Finally, when the chips are programmed do you take in account for Aftermarket performance products like exhaust and air intake components?
Thanks, Look forward to your response.

Hi Phil,
Yes, we do make Superchips for these 2002 F-150's with any engine. We'll need to check and see just what computer code your particular truck is to be able to tell you if we have the Superchip already done for your 2002 F-150 yet.
To find your truck's computer code, simply open the front passenger door, then look in the front part of the door frame, in the area of the door hinges. There you should find a sticker that has 3 letters and 1 number on it, and that is your computer code. Give us a quick call or shoot us an email (calling is quicker) when you find your code & let us know what it is, then we can let you know whether we already have your code available or not at this time. If you can't find your code, just let us know, we can always help with that of course.
Yes, we do take into consideration what other modifications you have done to your vehicle. In these F-150's, for things like K&N air filters, airbox elimination kits, & cat-back exhaust systems, we do not need to change anything in the tuning. That is only required when you do major mods like a blower, nitrous, ported heads, cam changes etc., or if you change the MAF (mass airflow meter), as a general "rule" in these late-model F-150's & Expeditions, etc.
Please feel free to give us a call if you'd like to go over this in detail, we're always happy to speak with you.
Congratulations on your new 2002 F-150, & Merry Christmas!

Hi Phil,
Ahh, my apologies, you'd think I'd have seen that!
No problem, we make them for the F-250's & 350's & 450's and on up as well, so we'll just need the computer code. However, since it's a Super Duty, that code is in a different place than it is on the F-150's!
Go to the **driver's** side of the vehicle, and open the drivers door. Then look in the front part of the door frame, in the area of the door hinges, and there you should find a code sticker there, once again, with 3 letters and 1 number on it.
In other words, the code sticker on the Super Duty trucks is in the same place as it is in the light duty F-250's & the F-150's, except over on the driver's side instead of the passenger side.

Mike,
Does this sound like the correct code.
GCU0 Big charectors on Drivers side by hinges. F-250
Also, I went to buy a Chip on your link and it doesn't have the 2002 model year. Is there a update on the way for the site?
Thanks,
Phil

Hi Phil,
The Webmaster here is a bit behind in getting that updated in our online ordering system here, but that doesn't matter. The only thing that really matters is the computer code, everything else is just for descriptive purposes, basically, as the code is what determines the actual program.
You can always select "Other" for the model year, and then type in that it's a 2002 model in the text box that is there for you to leave us a short comment.
