OT is correct, check past threads from Mike T. You'll also need your computer code if you call Mike T. to order a chip. It's on the right side passenger door panel between the hinges. Small sticker with 3 letters and 1 number Mike will ask you this, so be ready.
Instructions come with the chip. Follow them carefully, and whatever you do, take your time when cleaning off the coating on the chip contacts.
Best upgrade for the money...IMO.

Hi Mike,
As other posters have already responded, take a look in the tech articles to get an idea of the basic installation procedure, there is a nice how-to including photos. It's easy enough that just about 98% of our customers install it themselves. In with each Superchip we ship, we provide not only the manufacturers installation instructions, but also our own far more highly detailed instructions & documentation that is specific to these vehicles. They are written to take a first time installer thru this with no surprises, which is important.
Should you have a problem, which happens rarely, Tech Support is just a phone call away.
With regard to whether you want to do the Flip Chip or not, that depends on if you have a need or purpose for 2 different programs. The 2 big reasons in a normally aspirated engine (meaning, not supercharged) would be if you wanted to have dual octane capability (the ability to riun on either 87 octane or premium gas at the flip of the switch), or if you needed custom programming, as teh manufacturer includes custom programming needed at time of purchase in the Flip Chip.
The single program Superchip requires the use of premium gas all the time of course. So if you want to be able to use 87 octane sometimes, you would need to use our dual octane Flip Chip setup. Most people still use the single program Superchip. We are not allowed to discuss pricing on these message boards, as per the policies of F-150 Online, but you can get a look at those numbers just by following the link below in our signature line that takes you to our online ordering system, and there you can see the price difference easily.
Your Airaid kit doesn't require any custom programming, and if your exhaust mods are the typical cat-back variety, then we don't need to do anything different for that either, so you can simply use our "standard" performance program for each computer code.
By all means, please do feel free to give us a call if you'd like to go over any of this, or anything else.
As was mentioned by another poster in this thread, we'll need to know your vehicle's computer code to supply you with the correct matching performance program. If you have any trouble locating it, just let us know, shoot us an email or give us a call for quick communications.
