Question chip or exhaust which one first

Guys,
I have an 01 supercrew with the 4.6. I am getting a gibson exhaust and a superchip. I will be installing one now, and one on Christmas. Is there any reason I should do one or the other first?

Go chip first! Definetly the biggest bang for the buck.

The chip is a better for the money, but the exaust will help you out by letting all that extra air you suck in your engine from the mods up front out easier.

The chip is cheaper than the exaust and puts out more power but you need to use the higher octane.

Go for the chip and then do the exaust and air filter too. After those 3 mods, you have basically done the 3 mods everyone does. Anything else can get really expensive. For the chip, cat-back, and air filter you are looking at about $700-$800

Hi Roni & everyone,

First, thanks as always to everyone for sharing their feelings & advice to Roni.

As others have already mentioned, the order of best bang-for-the-buck is to do the Superchip first, however, some people like to hear an exhaust throbbing first, or are on a tight budget and have to start off with a K&N air filter, etc., and we supply all of that and more of course, as truck & SUV performance specialists. The nice thing about modifications in those 3 areas is that you can do them in any order you like, and there will not be a negative impact on the final power results once all 3 mods are done.

Most people like to do their modifications in order of best bang-for-the-buck, for the obvious reason of being able to get the most performance gain & quickly getting your vehicle to where you want it performance-wise for the least outlay. The bottom line is that you do whatever makes you happiest.

Thanks for your order & best of luck with your truck!
