Superchip for 00' 5.4
Superchip for 00' 5.4
Does the flip chip do exactly the same thing as a normal performance chip,or is there any difference?(while on the performance side,i know it will be different when running 87 octane) also, could someone give me the part number for a superchip flip chip for a 2000 5.4? i know these questions have been asked a thousand times, sorry bout that, but i need the most up to date info i can get.
I just got a flip chip for my 2000 5.4 last month. I had side one burned for performance and side 2 burned for perfomance and to correct my speedometer when I'm running my 35" tires in the summer. I think your best bet is to call Mike Troyer at Performance Products and he can set you up. They can set either side for whatever you want it to be. Good luck.

Hi Psycho,
When we do the dual-octane setup in the Flip Chip, the performance program on Side 2 is the same performance program you get in the single-program Superchip.
You won't get any more power from using the 2-program Superchip Flip Chip instead of the regular single-program Superchip, if that is what you're wondering perhaps?
As far as the exact Superchips application number, that actually depends on your vehicle's exact computer code & configuration info.
For details, just shoot us an email or give us a call.

Hey Bob, I was just wondering where you got your lift kit and who put them on. I have been getting prices and a Wheel Performance will install a 4 inch lift for around $1500. Is that high? Also did you put the body lift on yourself, if you did wasit hard?
Thanks Dan

Dan, I wimped out and I had 4 Wheel Parts put on the suspension and body lift. They quoted me 8 hours labor for the suspension lift and 12 for the body lift. I've seen posts in here from people that said they've done it in six hours but I don't know. There's a couple of spacers that needed to be welded to the frame too. It took them 3 days to do everything and I was happy with their work. All together with both lifts and the tires and wheels, it was about $4500 all together. A lot of money but luckily I have a very understanding wife.

Hi Bob,
>>>luckily I have a very understanding wife. <<<
You are a lucky guy! Me too, except everything I do to mine she wants done to hers too!
Actually, making my wife my hot-rodding buddy was one of the best things I ever did. Not only can I get whatever I want (when we can afford it, no credit card debt allowed here!), but I have somebody here to enjoy it with, which is pricelsss.
Have fun, Bob!
