Dragy Performance Report 2016 Ecoboost SCrew 4x4
I've made this thread to hopefully figure out what is going on with my truck no performing to my expectations. I use the application and device 'Dragy" to carefully record a performance history. Truck is a 2016 F150 3.5L Eco, Lariat SuperCrew, 4x4, FX4, 54,000miles . Weighs 5650 with me in it. I'm an old school bracket racer who loves to test 'n tune. I'm disabled and cannot do most of the work on the truck myself, but my father was an engine builder and used to race a low 9 second foot brake model T.
The truck has Off-Road full-race downpipes (Y pipe), FactionFab, SCT TS+ and performance tunes for 91by 5-Star tuning, an aFe CAI ..and that's about it. I'm running factory tire size and wheels 275/65/R18. They tires are the Firestone AT3 all terrain, likely a little heavier than the stock rubber. I'm not sure where to start, other than I have a feeling my stock BOV isn't holding boost like it should. I've thought about adding better ignition coils. My plugs I installed myself and gapped them to .028".
My best pass so far is a measly 14.23@93mph on a deserted paved road. A 10mph slower trap speed than comparable F150 Trucks.
I should be running a much quicker 1/8 mile and quarter mile time and mph, judging from careful observations of similar trucks I've seen making passes.
