Just wondering if anyone on here would know if a preformance tune will get rid of the CEL for P0130 and P0150. From my understanding the fix for these codes is to take it to ford and get a new program installed. My question is whether a preformance tune will also solve this issue, because if it does i'd much rather buy a tune then spend money at the dealership.

Nope, those are O2 sensor codes. Something is wrong with the sensors or circuits. Troubleshooting:

Normally yes but it's a software issue for these trucks. I can clear the codes and it will run for days without showing up. My guess is they had their parameters too tight to start with.

I hear you... I got several service manuals for vehicles and they all outline the "book" shop times. Whenever I couldn't do the job or my close mechanic couldn't do it, I'd bring the book and the vehicle to the dealer. I would point it out in black and white. Sometimes they'd do it, sometimes not at the "book" shop time.

I'm getting Intermittent P0130 and P0150 codes. Found the TSB calling for a reprogram of the PCM, when getting both codes. Called a Ford Dealership and the service guy I talked to said, that it's probably not a going to work because the truck is almost a decade old. Anyone have any input on this? Trucks not idling rough, just the CEL and those codes. He said they could do it and would cost about $150. But I'm stuck on the fact that he is automatically telling me "it probably won't work because of "how old it is". Truck has 116,000 on it.
