I would rather see you go with a tuner like a SCT or something name brand that has a substantial reputation.

Anytime you start messing with your vehicle's computer, you can potentially corrupt it. Heck, it even happens with the tuners that HAVE a good rapport.

Yeah, I'm trying to figure out the logic of how a device simply plugged into the OBDII port can modify anything (except make the owner's wallet lighter).

This claim " plugs right in - our product modifies signals sent to your vehicles ECU computer" tells me immediately it's either a fraud since there are no signals at the OBDII port that the device can modify or it's reprogramming the PCM as would any other tuner. Since the description is so vague, it doesn't leave me with much reason for any level of optimism.

Worthless chips

Okay guys (and gals), got the word from y'all and my Master Mechanic Brother, those tuning "chips" are worthless, so I shouldn't waste my money.

Thank you one and all!!!

The only good and safe way to tune a vehicle is with a programmer that plugs into the OBD2 port and properly written tunes. That's going to be a lot more than 99 bucks.

Even glc's recommendation is leery too, because anytime you write to the ECU, you are taking your chances that the communication might mess up. With a good tuner, it's far and few, but it can happen.

Best thing to do is leave it alone.

If that happens, worst case you get it towed to a Ford dealer for a stock reprogramming.
