Hi Don,

Coming along very nicely! As soon as we're finsihed, I'll let eveyone know.

Say, you're solidly into the 12's now, last time I saw your signature line you were at what, about 13 flat or so? Excellent!! To what do you attribute those further ET reductions, colder weather, or have you done more modifications, etc?

I just happened to be up at JDM on Tuesday the 11th when the WTC buildings were hit, his shop is close enough that we could see the smoke, etc., what a mess to say the least, a complete tragedy. We were all very upset of course, and it was a tough situation; I had come a long ways to do a lot of work to the Lightning, and then that tragedy struck, so it was a bit hard to focus & get on with the work, though his guys wre real troopers & did nothing less than *EXCELLENT* work. I had a great time with Jim & Sean & the girls that day, the work on the Lightning went on well into the night.

We did a *lot* of work on the Lightning that day, enough so that I should be *way* down into the 12's on the stock F1's, heh-heh. More I won't say publicly.

Did you hear that Jim got his 2001 Lightning down into the 11's? Yep, he did it! (like we all knew he would)

In fact, here at Performance Products we are now an authorized JDM Engineering distributor, so we now sell his product line as well, including the programs.

Talk to you soon, & congratulations on getting solidly into the 12's!

Thanks Mike
Ya it sure was awfull news last week.

I think it is great that you are now a distributor of Jims products, he has some great stuff.

The one thing I attribute the further ET reduction, is Jims lower pulley. On the day I ran the 12.82 I had my older (April) street program in the truck. You may have even seen my flip chip while you were at Jims shop. They reburned it with his newest program that same day. I just got it back yesterday, and all I can say is wow. I should be a few tenths quicker now.

Well I look foward to see what your program is like when you get it all done.

Thanks for all your help in the past, and hope all is well with you and your family
Don

Hi Don!

Ahh, OK, so you have the JDM lower pulley on now too, very good! You figure that dropped your ET those 2 tenths to get you into the 12.80's, or are you saying that you had that lower pulley on before, but now you have the updated program and it was the *program* that allowed you to drop into the 12.80's? Or perhaps a combination of both? Just curious........

Yes, we're delighted to be distributing JDM's products as well. We've always said we don't care what the name on the outside is, it's the quality of the product inside, and that is precisely what led us to work with Jim, his results & especially his quality. I have to say that he is without a doubt one of the nicest guys & straight shooters you'll ever meet.

Jim & I have been talking just about ever since he opened his doors to the public, after dropping the contracts he had with Ford. And we're very happy that our relationship has developed, this should work very well for both companies. We need him to be dealing with the public less personally, so he can get back to R&D'ing the new products we want & need from him.

I can't wait to get this beast to the track and see just what it will lay down in it's current configuration............

Have fun,

Have fun,
Jim, or should I say Shawn put the pulley on my truck at the Fun Ford Weekend back in August.

Before the pulley my best had been a 13.11. That weekend I ran a 12.92 on the race side of the flip chip, but that was durring the day.

The additional 1 tenth I got the other weekend was due to some cooler temps, and the F1's hooked up that run. I was surprised how well it ran with the older chip, but the air was real good.

I haven't got to run the flip chip since he reburned it for me. All I can tell you on the street it feels much stronger than before. My new program is CXN1 TSTR E2F,

I have a feeling next time I go to the track my E/T's will be even lower.

Myself as well as a few of a few other f150online members may be heading to Englishtown or Cecil in October. I will let you know what weekend we all head down there. I will give you a call later.
