Flip chip for two vehicles?

OK this may sound like a stupid question, but here's the scenario.
I have my 2000 F-150 and a 1994 Explorer. I'm told (not sure if its correct) that they both use the same physical chip, though obviously the programming is different.
I drive my F-150 almost every day, and rarely will drive the Explorer other then up to the mountains ofr wheeling, etc.
My question is, could I get a flip chip, have one side be programmed for the F-150, one side programmed for the Explorer, and switch it out as needed?

Hi Matt,

That isn't a stupid question at all!

Both of those vehicles can use the same basic Superchip module, though of course each vehicle needs it's own unique Superchip program.

Yes, I think we could do something like that for you, just give us a call & we can go over that with you. Superchips wouldn't support anything like that directly, as 1 chip = 1 vehicle as far as they are concerned, but we can make that kind of combo up for you here in-house, at least, we can load that up in a Flip Chip and I think it would work just fine, in each vehicle.

We'll of course need the codes for both vehicles, etc., as always.

Just give us a shout if you want to give this a try!
