I appreciate the help. is the sct hand held with custom tunes better than the edge gryphon with custom tunes? i guess I'm going to park the truck until i get the cash for a tuner.

Hi.

That is not an easy question to answer. Bill at PHP is a tuning wizard - no question, as are the folks who do the tuning for the vendors above. You cannot lose with any custom calibrations form any of them

It's the device capabilities that is the differentiator here. And the fact that only Bill can custom tune a Gryphon.

So - you need to proceed on that basis.

Checklist here to assist you to choose objectively:

Anyone willing to share their personal experiences with the sct live wire or edge gryphon? I'm leaning towards the edge from php due to price and display.

On an added note now that I'm looking at custom tunes, I'm eye balling long tube ,headers, rear gears, and cams. Only after i get this thing running right. I'm wondering if it was ever actually running correctly or if i just thought it was.

Called a local performance shop. They told me 400 for an sct tuner and 500 to dyno my truck. Told them no thanks i don't have enough mods to justify the cost. The recommended ordering from an online tuner, which was my original plan. I was just curious about having it done locally.
