tune for CEL

Can a tuner program to set a check engine light sooner than the factory specs? I have a slight miss that has been around for a year or so and no light ever.

The PCM stores pending misfire codes (no CEL) - Mode 6 data - which can be extracted with a proper diagnostic scanner.

Thanks. I did plugs 15k ago and coils 5k ago. When I did the coils it ran awesome for a couple weeks, then it showed back up. Looks like I might have to let ford look at it next time its in for an oil change.
