I just sold my evolution cts because I'm getting ready to put on my new exhaust that is running no cats.

What do yall reccommend for a programmer running custom tunes? Loved my evolution but need to run custom tunes

 

sct or diablo....imo

 

Been lookin at the x3. Feel its unnecessary to have that amount of tunes though. Opinions on that?

 

the sct will allow for the rear o2's to be shut off also....for the most part I just use custom email tunes....

 

I have 5 Star tunes, but my brother in law has MPT. Both are outstanding. Both are using the SCT SF3 tuner.

 

Your only options for custom tunes currently would be an SCT or Diablosport programmer. We prefer SCT for the Ford platform as the software for custom tuning is a bit more flushed out. The X3 or SF3 will offer the same performance in terms of functionality, but the SF3 will come preloaded with tunes from SCT. Both the X3 and SF3 have space for 10 custom tunes, so you don't lose out by going with the SF3. We typically only sell the SF3's since they are the same price as the X3 and even if you don;t use the preloaded tunes, it makes the device more valuable in the second hand market should you ever decide to sell it.
