Which tuner for a 2011 Ecoboost?
Alright I'm new to this fourm but definitely not new to modifying turbo charged vehicles. Part of the reason i'm slightly leary of tuning my truck. Alittle history.
Started out modifying cars at 17, started with a 2005 Subaru WRX alittle over a year later it was sporting a fully built engine and the biggest turbo it could spool, with meth injection it made just over 500awhp. The problem I had with the subaru is I was always trying to squeeze the last bit of power out of it, subsequently I blew up 2 engines chasing the 550whp mark, due to either aggressive tuning or a malfunctioning meth injection system. Second Car was a 97 Nissan S14 Silvia bought with the SR20 already swapped in, had it bore and stroked to 2.2L, sleeved it and put a Garrett 4088 on it, it made 705rwhp at 35psi with meth injection. That car was good to me never blew up but just sold it because it wasn't partical to drive every day. Bought the 04 F150 and left it stock.
To sum all of that up I understand what tuning does to a turbo charged engine, usually your upping the boost and maybe adding alittle more timing, possible taking alittle fuel away if the factory tuned it really conservative.
My question I am looking for a tuner this time that improves fuel economy first, adds some power but most importantly doesn't effect engine longevity. I've heard tuning can help with the rougher shifts at half throttle, and smooth out your basic driveability. (I find in my truck at half throttle it can't decide whether to open the waste gate or build boost)

Custom tunes will be very expensive - you will spend 300-400 buxs for 3 custom tunes to fit you're truck.
Livernois is where it's at ! Guarantee that you won't be able to wipe the smile from you're face once you are tuned by Livernois ! Mpg and power are way better than sct !
