Hi-

Bought an 05 F-150 back in December, and have it in the shop to take care of the airbag recall and for The Works oil change. I had somebody mention to me that I should ask them to "flash the computer to make sure I have all of the updated software"... can somebody elaborate on this and if they also think it's something I should ask? I was told it simply can help shifting points and making for a smoother ride. Any feedback or knowledge about this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

 

Just ask them if there is any updated firmware available for your truck. It will not be free. Dealers generally do not like to do it unless it's to correct a specific issue you are having.
