Hmmm, excellent question, and I don't think that has ever been asked before, at least, not here on these boards.
Superchips tunes many of the quickest Mustangs in the country, including the fellow who has or had the world's quickest 5.0 Mustang for years, but that was done directly, without our involvement.
If memory serves, the *quickest* FoMoCo vehicle we've provided the program for, using a Ford ECU (modified for faster processing, as required in 1000+ hp applications) was running 8.70's in the 1/4 mile. This was based on a 460 motor in a Ford but not a Mustang body (we can't tell who it is), it's of course a forced-induction motor and spraying a healthy shot of NO2 as well.
Superchips has tuned even quicker cars, but that didn't go thru us here at Performance, so that doesn't count.
One of the limitations we run into is the chassis dyno itself, as the dyno down at Superchips, like 98% of the chassis dynos made, doesn't have the capacity for 1000+ horsepower of course, so there are some vehicles that we can only estimate the wheel power of when hp numbers get into those levels.
