Well his biggest problem was that he bought a v6 "muscle" car! Not sure if it's called a muscle car anymore when the muscle is missing . . . Haha

Last week I received my SCT from MPT - with the forum discount it was $359.00 shipped to my door with three custom tunes. It took two days for the SCT to arrive and only 3 days for my custom tunes via email.

I am beyond happy with their customer service I sent them several emails with a ton of questions and they were quick to reply.

Anyway you go I highly recommend a custom tune, the canned octane tune from SCT were ok but the custom tunes bring the truck alive!

Regard,

Let's see - 2011 Camaro 3.6 liter V6: 312 hp, 278 tq, curb weight around 3700, 0-60 in the low 6's..........

2002 Camaro Z28 5.7 liter V8: 315 hp, 340 tq, curb weight around 3400, 0-60 in the mid 5's........

Not a heck of a lot of difference.

The sound coming from the pipes is all the difference that matters. Only women should drive V6's in mustangs, challengers, and Camaros haha. No car enthusiast should buy a new V6 when they could buy an older V8. V6s muscle cars really are not ok for straight men to drive

Hmm - I'm straight and I like the sound of a V6 with a good set of pipes.........

To each their own, but it's only a matter of time before the V-8 engine is a thing of the past.

I need help, need your opinion.

What programmer and what tune/custom tune do I need?

An estimate on price would help if you can give me one.
Keep the intake, - swap in a good dry element like a nano fiber from amsoil or just run the stocker and box, - keep the K&N tube. It use to be you couldn't run the larger K&N system without a tune. Otherwise you would be dangerously lean.

BTW, you don't need an intake for a tune, -since Ford leaves so much on the table. A tune alone is worth the effort and expense with the 3V.

Thank you for that info.

I like getting a discount, does anyone run holiday sales?

Why 3 different tunes? How different are the tunes?

I had a towing tune, an 87 Performance tune and a 93 performance tune. Whatever suits your needs.

Haha I just had to say it. I'm one of those "(American) V8 only guys." But I agree that the V8's days among us are limited. And I'll surely tolerate a V6 long before I give in to a 4 banger in a ricer Honda with a fart can
