CAI advice

Been looking around for a CAI. I have a 2006 F150 4.6L 4x4 2V and recently installed an Edge Evolution and have a Flowmaster Super 44 exhaust on my truck. Ive seen a ton of problems with the 5.4L but I haven't seen anything with the 4.6. Does anybody have any opinions? Also would Oiled or dry be best? I want just a little more power and maybe some more MPG would be a nice benefit too!

You won't get more mpg and the Edge tunes are for stock intakes. You will gain 6 to 8 hp. Not worth the money. Do the intake mod in the Articles and How To section and spend your money on something else.

I put an airaid on my 06 4.6 and LOST mpg. I took it off a few months later, sold it for more than I paid for it and did the gotts mod.

The only good things a "CAI" do for you are make noise and look cool. The stock intake and paper filter can handle all the airflow a reasonably stock engine needs and it gets cooler air from the fenderwell than it would from under the hood. Oiled filters can foul the MAF.
