5 Star

I'm looking at getting the Tuner / Intake Combo Kit: X3 + S&B 05-08 F150 5.4L from 5 Star i was looking at there options for the 5.4L calibrations and I'm curious does the OD/5th lock out basically add a gear to the transmission? And would it be worth getting that for my 91 octane performance choice???

You were looking at the information for the 5.4 5 speed auto which is with the superduty's if I'm not mistaken. F150 had a 4 speed auto from 04-08.

This is the combo you are looking for:
http://5startuning.com/onlinestore/e...-f150-54l.html

And...yes it is worth getting the highest octane tuning you can afford. Cheap entertainment!

Yeah thats the combo i was looking at. So when i get to there CAL page rather than going to the "3v 5.4L V8 Auto Calibrations" sections I should just be looking under the "Ford Gas Cars, Trucks, SUV, Vans"?

I would go to the gas cars, trucks, suv, van's page myself. I think Mike will figure it out once he knows all of the particulars of your truck (ie, he knows a 2006 f150 never came with the torqshift trans).

I am not sure what octanes are available to you but definitely get one of the highest you can get (91 or 93) along with the 87. Then you will be ok no matter where you travel. If you are towing then get at least one perf/tow tune. If you never tow or work your truck and want max power then inquire about one of his all out performance tunes. Sorry for rambling.

You can always email him if you are still confused.

Any further questions, just ask!
