I have a question for all you Tech. guys.

Went out yesterday & started my truck to warm up for 10 minutes as it was -24C (-12F). As I was backing up & truning around, notice the wrench displayed. The truck would not excellerate (Limp Mode). Called the dealer & had it towed. They did a re-program & all is well. I started my truck this morning with the remote start (as before). When I opened a back door the remote start died. This was new. Before the re-program it would only stop after about 15 min. or when you turned the key on. not even touching the brake would kill it.

What is TSB 12-2-16? Why would it have anything to do with the remote start?

 

I had this happen last summer twice. Once I had to pull over because the motor died but it restarted and didn't have any more issues while driving. One morning i had a similar thing to you occurr, the wrench came up just after pulling out of my driveway and it would not shift out of 3rd gear. I stopped and turned off truck and restarted, no more issues. This occurred on my VMP tune.

I'm tuned back on 5star, letting my truck idle more than I like but it's damn cold here in Ontario past week, -20c. No issues with long cold idles on the 5star. I don't have remote start, wish I did after this past week!! I've been using the block heater as well, fyi.
