Which Programmer?

1st post so go easy on me.....
i have a '06 5.4ffv fx4, absolutely no mods except true dual exhaust. the only other mod i may go with is a CAI. with that said the only thing i do with my truck is normal everyday driving and pulling my bass tracker to the lake. i want a programmer to help with fuel costs and to give a good kick in the pants when i want to "drive it like i stole it". the truck has 102k miles on it. ive been looking at either the edge evo or the evo cs or maybe one from PHP? and i did read the "questions on tunes" sticky

I'm with you. 2006 5.4L with just over 120k. Time for new tires, want to do leveling kit and a new size tire. Might as well get a programmer to make sure speedo is correct.

I'm sure there is a sticky post for this specific topic but haven't found it yet.

I bought a Gryphon from PHP. I did tones of research first before i made my final decision. I bought it Feb. 10th, the money went through on the 11th and got it on the 14th. Im so happy i got one it really woke the truck up and on level 3, 93 octane it'll scoot. I went from getting an average of 13 MPG to 16 MPG. But of course im sure running 93 is a big factor in the increase in MPG. My truck is a stock 2006 SCREW CAB 5.4, except for the Gryphon and a SI/DO Flowmaster supper 44. So to answer your question im suggesting the Gryphon from PHP.

Sorry I just don't like edge junk anymore and its not PHP's fault either.....the blame all falls on edge.......

Here's a fresh review from one of our customers after tuning his 08 5.4, same truck as your basically:

I had a friend of mine recommend the SCT tuner for the F150 models. I looked into it and liked what i saw. He is a major ford tuner out here and sells both edge and the SCT. He just said the SCT has a better program for the 5.4 motors. I bought one and love the power, performance, and towing shift points. Never have been disappointed.

Seems to me DiabloSport InTune or the SCT are the way to go. What's main difference between the two?
